The Hands-On Science Center was founded in 1990 by a group of scientists in and around Tullahoma, TN, with the mission of inspiring students through interactive science demonstrations in local schools. As the initiative grew, a dedicated facility was constructed in 1995 to house the expanding collection of educational exhibits. Today, the Hands-On Science Center operates within a 10,000-square-foot building, featuring over 100 hands-on exhibits designed to engage visitors of all ages in the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
What We Do
The mission of the Hands-On Science Center is to provide a regional learning center to stimulate an interest in, understanding and appreciation of STEM education, particularly among children in their formative years, their parents and their teachers.
