Who We Are

Our vision is healthy, hopeful, and resilient Tennesseans who feel supported by their communities. Our mission is connecting and empowering communities through education and advocacy to sustainably improve mental health and prevent substance misuse. This organization started as an initiative of the Murfreesboro Housing Authority in the 1990's as a way to reduce crime and substance abuse. In 2016, Prevention Coalition for Success obtained their own non-profit status. We have expanded our work since this time to reach more community members throughout Middle Tennessee.

What We Do

We support families, prevent substance misuse in youth and young adults, and increase access to behavioral health services. Our Family Preservation Initiative coordinates wrap around services for families with a child experiencing a behavioral or mental health challenge. Though our substance misuse primary prevention work, we provide peer support for youth and young adults to encourage healthy decision-making. Our coalition engages the community to educate and advocate for policies and procedures that promote well-being for all. Reducing the stigma and increasing access to recovery is the focus of our Project Lifeline program and Faith-Based Community Coordinators. We support First Responders with education and a resource to refer individuals they encounter in the community who are in need of substance use disorder services. Our coalition, boards, initiatives and programs work towards creating a healthier Middle Tennessee.
