The Verizon Call Center in Murfreesboro is hosting a Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, August 29th from 11am-3pm. United Way is helping sign up any nonprofit agencies who'd like to have a booth at the Verizon facility that day.
With over 275 more employees coming over to Rutherford County (they have about 900 total), Verizon wants to share with their staff various ways they can get involved in the local community.
Last year, the volunteer fair was held at the Williamson County facility, and the employees had a blast! They had the opportunity to meet different agencies, learn how they could volunteer within the community, and set up options with HR to donate from their paychecks. Verizon Wireless does match employee donations.
Any 501c3 charitable organization is welcome to have a booth in the Verizon Center, but space is limited to 15 agencies total. You do not have to be a United Way funded partner to participate.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend and remember booth spaces are limited. The Verizon Call Center group would love to have the community come together and meet with their team!
