Description

Join United Way and the Rutherford County Health Department for the Community Baby Shower Kick-Off meeting to learn more about our annual Community Baby Shower and how to serve as a collection site within the community.

The collection of essential baby items for expectant and new mothers will occur January 9, 2019 through February 6th, 2019.

All collection sites are asked to drop off collected items during the following dates and times:
Tuesday, February 5th (11am-1pm)
Wednesday, February 6th (9am-11am)
at Patterson Park Community Center (521 Mercury Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37130)

The items will be sorted and baby bags will be assembled on February 8, 2018, at the Community Baby Shower Sort-a-Thon.

This year, the United Way has a goal of 500 baby bags to be distributed to families in Rutherford and Cannon counties. Focusing on one of the United Way’s priority community issues, healthy beginnings, the bags contain essential baby supplies for a healthy start in life.

Items to be collected include: diapers, onesies, baby wipes, bottles, and blankets
(new items only for newborn - 6 months old).

Let the community see you're engaged and serving as a public drop-off site by displaying a yard sign in front of your building! Posters, rack cards with donation needs, and yard signs (if a public site) will be provided during this meeting. We invite  you to be creative with your on-site collection areas, as there will be a winner announced for Most Creative display!

Please RSVP (or have a team-member RSVP) to attend the meeting. Attendee count is necessary for materials available and light breakfast to be served.

If you haven't registered as a collection site, but would like to serve, PLEASE RSVP IN TOP RIGHT CORNER OF PAGE and Annie Cotter will be in contact with you.
