Volunteer: Dream Implementation Specialist

We have dreamed radically here at The F.I.N.D. Design, and we need your expertise to take us to the next level while executing our Radical Freedom Dream Plan.     Volunteering provides a mutual benefit and allows you to:   Lead with a purpose. You will be able to use your leadership skill to manage critical and execute such tasks.   Gain critical cultural insight and awareness. By serving a vulnerable population, you have the ability to learn cultural nuances that will expand your knowledge. It provides a chance to see different perspectives, which will allow evolution. This is key to personal and professional growth.    Become a Co-Conspirator. It is one thing to talk the talk but another to roll up your sleeve and get your hands dirty for a cause bigger than yourself. We are looking for those that desire to walk hand and hand (even if it is virtual) to push a mission that impacts us all.   Enhance key communication and management skills. What better way to enhance skills than to put them to good use for an intended purpose? In this role, you will engage with key staff members and lead efforts to ensure tasks are completed.   Gain a new squad. We are a family here at The F.I.N.D. Design and our volunteers are essential to the work we do. When you become part of our crew, you become family!   The essential part of this role is to ensure the project management and execution of radical tasks that we are attempting to accomplish within the following year. Due to many moving parts and independent actors, we need a central person to manage the big picture.    Your expertise will assist in keeping all parties accountable and help us move our projects forward to a successful end goal. We expect periodic check-ins with each team member, monthly progress reports, and the ability to identify impediments to our path.    Addition duties include:   Monitoring Radical Freedom Dream targets and conducting weekly/monthly checking to ensure execution.   Maintaining project management tool to demonstrate progress towards goals while presenting obstacles and success.  Participating in one monthly meeting to present findings.   Having fun   Pushing a mission bigger than yourself!  This position requires 2-4 hours weekly and a commitment of 6 months or 1 year.  You will be reporting to Director Kara James. This entry-level opportunity is perfect for those looking to gain experience as project managers, scrum masters, and administrative assistants.     Nonprofit Overview:  The F.I.N.D Design is a Nashville-based organization founded in 2014. We exist to mitigate the effects of systemic and personal trauma on Black girls, and other girls of color ages 11-17, by providing safe spaces for healing, long-term mentorships, and programming that transform their mental health and overall well-being.
