L.E.A.D. is Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee’s outreach to underserved girls in our community, rural and urban settings.

We’re looking for you… college women, graduate students and professionals to serve as leaders and mentors to underserved girls. The leader’s role is to engage the girls in the provided Girl Scout Curriculum and demonstrate the lifetime benefits of education through mentorship. Girls involved will receive a membership to Girl Scouts and a uniform at no cost. They are given the opportunity to grow and gain quality leadership experiences, give service to the community and engage in outdoor activities.

Have you ever thought about hosting a foreign exchange student and bringing a new culture into your home? At CCI Greenheart, our students arrive as strangers but they leave as members of your family. Becoming a host family for a Greenheart exchange student will change your life forever. Students come from a range of cultures and backgrounds and we have over sixty countries represented. Additionally, we encourage all of our students and host families to give back to the community in order to bring cultural awareness.

Some basics of our program:

Currently, we are placing students for the upcoming school year and are looking for some loving families who are ready to open their homes and their hearts. Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect. As your Local Coordinator, I will guide you though every step of the way and support you. Exchange isn’t a year in your life, it’s a life in a year.

Kymari House is seeking committed volunteers to work directly with children and their families during structured supervised visitation. This opportunity requires a one-year commitment for 8-10 hours per month. A background check and 20 hours of training are also required. This is an ideal opportunity for those who want to improve the lives of children and support healthy families. We welcome volunteers from all professional backgrounds; no particular professional experience is required. The most important qualities for Family Monitors are maturity and the desire to improve the lives of children. Kymari House is seeking a volunteer to coordinate with individuals and organizations seeking to support the agency with volunteers, in-kind donations, and special events. This position will require approximately 5-10 hours per month, much of which can be done remotely. The volunteer coordinator will work closely with the agency team to ensure that we are maximizing the benefit of community volunteers to support the work of the agency.
