Who We Are

Lasagna Love is a global nonprofit and grassroots movement that aims to positively impact communities by connecting neighbors through gestures of kindness and support. We aim not only to help address the incredible rise in food insecurity among families but also to provide a simple act of love and kindness during a time full of uncertainty and stress. We also seek to eliminate stigmas associated with asking for help when it is needed most. Our mission is simple: feed families, spread kindness, and strengthen communities. The group was started in March 2020 as the pandemic crept into the country. We now have 30,000+ volunteers in all 50 states and Canada and Australia. We feed families, spread kindness, and strengthen communities

What We Do

The Way It Works for Volunteers: A Volunteer’s commitment is flexible and set by each volunteer at lasagnalove.org/volunteer . Volunteers customize their involvement by choosing how often they would like to be matched with a family in their community (weekly, every other week, monthly, or just this once), how far they are willing to drive to deliver the meal and if they are able to accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies. This enters the volunteer into our system for the next round of matching which occurs at the beginning of each week. When they are matched with a family, they will receive basic contact information such as name, address, phone number, and the number of adults and children in the household to give them some insight into who they would be helping. They then contact the family to schedule a delivery.
