Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville

The decision to become a volunteer mentor is a great one, and an opportunity that will change the life of a young person for the better.  BBBS of Clarksville strives to make a difference by creating professionally supported one-to-one matches for kids who want to reach their full potential. But we can't do that without you. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville offers 3 different mentoring programs, so you can mentor through the program that works best for you! 

In our Community Based mentoring program, Bigs and Littles meet at least twice per month for a couple hours at a time on their own and usually do different low cost activities in the community. The mentor will contact the Little’s guardian and schedule a time to meet that best suits both parties. The commitment is a minimum of 12 months with the expectation that you'll meet with your Little no less than twice a month for. 

In Site-Based mentoring program, Bigs and Littles meet weekly during the school year at a Little’s school. Focus is on providing your Little with one-on-one quality time and attention. The program is only active when school is in session and will resume the following year. Our staff will support matches by providing different conversation topics and helping navigate potential issues.

Our Stem program develops one-to-one mentoring friendships between an adult and a child through participatory events. Activities are designed to deepen mentoring relationships while supporting self-confidence, goal setting, collaboration, skill development, and healthy lifestyles.
