Special Olympics Tennessee offers a vibrant, year-round calendar of competitions across 16 sports, serving more than 18,000 athletes statewide for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The 2025 State Flag Football Tournament is a high-energy event where Special Olympics athletes team up to compete against athletes across the state. We can't wait to see our athletes and unified partners shine!
Tournament Support PM volunteer responsibilities include:
- running of flag football field, roles include field assistants, scorekeeper / timekeeper, team escorts and game runner / communication support
- set up and break down of field
- facilitate flow of tournament / games
- celebrate with athletes!
No experience needed, just bring your energy and enthusiasm!
What to Know Before You Arrive:
- Arrive 5 minutes early and check in at the registration desk
- Please bring a photo ID for check-in - you will reserve a volunteer shirt
- This event will be outdoors
- Lunch will be provided
- Free parking will be available on site.
- Recommend wearing athletic attire and comfortable, closed-toe shoes, as you'll be on your feet for most of the event
- Bring a filled water bottle and stay hydrated
- Volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone. Please contact the event coordinator to register them
