Schedule of Waterfest:
- (7:30am – 9:30am) volunteers will help presenters unload cars, put out education materials, help erect popup tents/tables/signs/etc. at activity stations.
- (9:30am – 1:00pm) volunteers assist presenters in whatever capacity is needed at an activity station – you would be able to choose which activity station suits you.
- (1:00pm – 2:00pm) lunch for presenters and volunteers.
Description of Waterfest:
- It can be an intense day, with many children and adults at the park. Activity stations usually have presentations that last between 15 and 20 minutes; so there may be as many as 4 classes coming to one station in an hour. Fun interactions with students (3rd and 4th graders), their parents and teachers.
- Remember this is an outdoor field trip and take into consideration your health and stamina.
- IF you wanted to help prepare materials before the event, please contact hbennett@rutherfordcountytn.gov.
Please Note: Registration for Classroom Teachers to bring students is closed at this time. The Waterfest event is at full capacity for students.
